You don't need to know anything

The course is specially designed for people who have never played golf. Our golf professionals have experience guiding complete beginners and adapt the pace to your level.

You learn the basic techniques (grip, posture, swing), the golf rules and etiquette, and you play your first holes on the course. Golf equipment is provided on site - you don't need to bring anything.

Learn the basics of golf

During the course you receive lessons from an experienced golf professional. You learn the rules, practice your shots and play your first holes. All in a relaxed setting, without pressure.

Get your GVB

Receive your certificate after passing

After the course you take a short test and receive your official Golf Proficiency Certificate. NGF registration is arranged separately via Zalm Golf (EUR66/year).

Everything you want to know as a beginner

Do I need to know how to golf to start?
No, the course is specially designed for complete beginners. You don't need any experience at all. Our instructors guide you step by step.
Do I need my own equipment?
No, golf clubs and balls are provided on site. Do wear sporty clothing and shoes with flat soles.
Can I really golf after one day?
Yes! After the course you have your GVB and the basic skills to play independently on a golf course. Most participants get their GVB in one day.
Will I also get theory instruction?
Yes, the course includes a comprehensive theory section on golf rules, etiquette and course management. You also take a theory exam.
Where does the course take place?
You choose your own location when booking. We work with golf courses throughout the Netherlands - from Noord-Holland to Limburg.
What if I don't pass my GVB?
If you don't pass, you can arrange a resit with your pro. Most participants pass on the first try.
Isn't golf a very expensive sport?
Golf has become much more accessible. Course from EUR100, NGF registration EUR66/year, and a round of golf costs EUR20-EUR50. Cheaper than many sports with fixed membership fees.
Can I join if I live in Belgium or Germany?
Yes, our platform is also aimed at golfers from Belgium and Germany. The GVB is internationally recognized.
Do I need to join a golf club?
Not required. At Zalm Golf you can arrange your NGF registration for EUR66 per year without club obligation.
